THINGS I L♥VE

 Pams Products

Almost everything I use in my kitchen comes from the Pams range. Their cornflour, baking powder, custard powder and baking soda come in really convenient tubs that offer more product for your buck. I use the 1kg & 1.5 kg whole oats and rolled oats in Sam's toasted muesli and they're fantastic. The sugar and flour range is extensive. Their big bottles of white vinegar are handy in the kitchen and laundry. The Pams range is available from Pak'n Save, New World and Four Square stores.

Skellerup Terranova Gumboots

For many years I succumbed to the cheap Warehouse prices and purchased my gumboots there but the seam around the sole would always bust by the end of the season so I decided to splurge out on a decent pair of gumboots a few years ago. I choose a pair of Skellerup Terranova boots and they are the best investment for the farm. They've lasted three seasons now and they're still going strong. They're a super lightweight boot in youth and women's sizes. They are knee length and slimline and offer a non-slip sole. I wouldn't be without these boots and would buy them again without hesitation.

Auckland Libraries Online

I would love to sit in the library looking at different books and then making my selection but I haven't got time. So instead I use this amazing website www.elgar.govt.nz to log in using my library card details and then search for titles, subjects, authors etc. I can order books and DVDs online and then select the branch I'd like to collect my items from and wait until they send me an email confirming that my books are ready to pick up. That easy!

Auckland Council's Online Info

Well it seems our money has finally been put to good use in updating their online capabilities. Why we're still charged moonbeams to get a LIM is beyond me but, here are some handy links.
Property Search you can find out details about your own or someone elses property and I used this to estimate my rates so that we could budget for them. Great little feature.
Weekly Rubbish Collections are pretty self explanitory. I printed out a calendar to keep track of the recycling bin collections.
Inorganic Rubbish Collections are always sprung upon us so check for the collection dates in your area.
